Turf Project Meeting

On Tuesday, April 10th, Wayne Thompson held an informational meeting regarding the possibility of obtaining turf for the field in time for the first home game this season.  Springfield Public Schools has done an excellent job of  obtaining funds toward this project and is looking for each school to earn the last piece of the funding for themselves.  SPS has funding for all but the last $160,000.00 at each school.  For those of you that have inquired about prices for turf this represents a small portion of the grand total to pull off this project.

Wayne advised that at this time SPS is not looking for parent donations, although appreciated, they are looking for companies that could purchase advertising on the turf for a long term commitment to the schools.

There are many details and options available to any business that would be interested.  You may download the informational packet here: Turf Project Packet

If you know of any interested parties that would consider purchasing an ad please email glendalefootball@gmail.com and I will forward your suggestions to the Booster Club.

Thank you to SPS Athletic Director Mark Fisher,  for his efforts to spearhead this project.  Together we are very positive that we can make this happen to benefit all teams and the band.
