Thanks to Coach Opfer, we will be placing signs around the Glendale community promoting our home games on game day.
All we need to do is put the signs together – ie: paint and hinge
This is what we are asking for…
#1. For YOU the Falcon Parent to come to practice next week on either Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday (which ever works best for you) and bring with you a cordless screwdriver or drill and the ability to spray some paint and screw on some hinges. All other supplies will be provided!
Depending on the workforce each night we will be following this schedule:
Monday – paint all boards white and let dry – if they dry fast enough we will start on Tuesdays work
Tuesday – add all Stencil and Graphics with spray paint – as they dry we will begin assembly
Wednesday – assemble the two-sided signs
#2 – Coach Opfer has also gotten ahold of an old train whistle. This will be positioned at the West end of the field and will be sounded after each Falcon Touchdown. This whistle is on a cart with plywood sides that we will also need to paint in the course of the above project. It won’t take much to bring “The Touchdown Tootie” to life!
#3 – FINALLY we will need volunteers to place the signs at our various locations on Friday (sometimes Thursday) Home Game mornings and then pick them back up after the game that night. The signs will be 2′ wide by 4′ tall. The following locations have agreed to placement of the signs:
* Bancorp South at Ingram Mill and Battlefield and on Sunshine across from McSalty’s
* In the field West of the Southern Hills swimming pool across from Kingsway Church
* The property west of the old Get-n-Go on East Cherry (across from the old TV station)
* DQ on Sunshine
* Opfer Communications
* Liberty on Sunshine
Again, we thank you in advance for all of your service to the Glendale Football Program!
2010 will be the season to remember!
Sincerely,
