The football team has been recognized by the Missouri State High School Activities Association for academic excellence. The Varsity team received the “Outstanding Scholastic Award” with an average GPA of 3.30. The Junior Varsity team received the “Distinguished Scholastic Award” with an average GPA of 3.15. The Freshmen team also received the “Distinguished Scholastic Award” with an average GPA of 3.02. Congratulations to our players for all of their hard work in the classroom.

LINEMAN CHALLENGE

We have entered the Ozark High School lineman challenge on April 24th.  The challenge is for current Juniors, Sophomores, and Freshmen.  It will be held at Ozark High School and begins at 9:30 am. 

If your son is a lineman please mark your calender and join us in seeing how we stack up with other schools.

Congratulations to Austin Opfer and Brandon Fitzlaff for leading their group to the Winter Championship of our team competition.  The team competition is a game in which the team is split up into 7 groups.  Groups earn points in the following categories- Academics, Athletic Development, School Spirit, Service, Discipline, and Unity.  The group with the most points at the end of the session wins.  We will be treating the winning group to dinner for all of their hard work and effort.

The spring competition started March 1 and ends on May 21.

Max Out Week was a big success!  Tommy Young is a member of the 1100 lb club with a total of 1120 lbs.  Tommy also set the school record in Power Clean at 315 lbs.  

Philip Hite, Andy Greene, and Josh MacGregor are members of the 800 lb club.

Alex Givens, Austin Opfer, Adam Noble, Alex Rocha, Michael Reyes, Connor Menown, Trevor Vaughn, and Riley Shantz are members of the 700 lb club. 

Josh Hyde, Tyler Buehler, Carter Wyrsch, Casey Wagoner, Logan Bauer, Tim Clark, Dakota Brake, Blake Bowler, James Seahorn, and Austin Grega are members of the 600 lb club.

Trey Smith, David Randall, Stu Spickard, Andrew Hite, Ernie Shoults, Dylan Fuller, Johnny Nehmer, and Stephen Brown are members of the 500 lb club.
