Falcons Cruise Past Bears
In a non-district game, our Falcons traveled north to Kansas City, to meet the Bears of East High School – we won by the score of 41-6.
It was Homecoming night for the East Bears, but our Falcons spoiled the festivities of the night with an offensive explosion, and our first rout of the season. We would score first to take a 7-0 lead midway through the first quarter. But the Bears would answer, driving into Falcon territory, then scoring on a little bit of trickery with a wide receiver reverse and pass play to a second receiver who was wide open downfield. The PAT failed, and it left our Falcons leading 7-6. Though it initially appeared it could be a close game, our Falcons would build up a 28-6 halftime lead, then score twice more in the second half, to roll on to the final 41-6 score.
It’s hard to believe, but week 10 is upon us, and next Friday, our Falcons will visit the Nixa Eagles, who are fresh off of a 55-25 win over the Parkview Vikings Friday night. So come out for the final game of the season, and cheer on our Falcons to their 3rd straight victory – GO FALCONS!!!
