Yellowjackets Slip Past Falcons

The Lebanon Yellowjackets came to town and handed our Falcons a 20-34 loss.  Our Falcons started out strong on defense, while the offense also got off to a great start.  For the first time this season, our Falcons scored first to take a 7-0 lead, which is the first lead we have had all season.  Lebanon would end up scoring twice before the half to go up 7-14 at halftime.

Lebanon would score first in the second half to build a 7-21 lead, but our Falcons were not done yet.  We would score again, to draw within 13-21, then Lebanon would answer again to take a 13-27 lead.  Once again, our Falcons would draw within a single touchdown, when we returned the ensuing kickoff for a touchdown, and make the score 20-27.  But the Yellowjackets would score one last time, for the final score of 20-34.

Next Friday, plan on traveling with our Falcons to Waynesville, where we will take on the Tigers in search of our first victory (and Waynesville has also started the season at 0-4, with a 20-40 loss to Hillcrest tonight) - GO FALCONS!!!
