Zach Smith Update – as of Wednesday 11/19/2008
Here is an update from Zach’s mother, Debbie:
Zach is still in the intensive care unit, however, he was taken of off the ventilator again yesterday and his lungs seem to be working much better. Zach is alert and communicating. We hope to get moved to the rehabilitation unit later today or early tomorrow to begin the next phase of our long journey. Zach knows he has a lot of hard work ahead of him but that with God’s love and the support and love of family and friends he will be strong. We have been so touched by the outpouring of love and support, words can not express our gratitude to everyone. We are truly blessed.

I am a friend of Zach’s father’s family from Michigan. They have asked for prayer for the family and Zach. Also, they shared your website. I am deeply touched by your witness and feel honored to pray for them.
