Applebees Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser for Smith Family

Applebees restaurant (Primrose location) has generously offered to host a pancake breakfast to raise money for the Smith family.  The breakfast will be held on Saturday December 20th, from 8am-10am.  You will need to purchase a $5.00 ticket in advance from the Booster Club in order to eat at the breakfast.  Tickets will be sold at the upcoming Football Banquet, as well as through volunteers who will be helping sell the tickets to the general public.  Here is a flyer you can print and/or E-Mail to your friends/family, to use in helping spread the word about this important fundraiser.

If you are interested in helping with ticket sales, please contact Booster Club President Tim Swan.

Zach Smith Update - as of Sunday 11/23/2008

Here is an update from Debbie, Zach’s mom:

Zach was moved from ICU to the Rehab unit at St. John’s and has begun his hard work of getting ready to come home before Christmas.  He has very busy mornings and afternoons with his therapy schedules, but is able to have visitors from 3:30 - 9:00 pm.  Our entire family has been so greatly touched by everyone’s prayers, love, kind gestures, offers of help, visits, meals, and other acts of love and kindness.  Please keep Zach in your prayers as this is going to be a very challenging time for him.  We believe everyone’s prayers and positive thoughts have been how Zach has done so well to this point, and prayers and faith will continue to make everyday better.   Thank you again everyone, we are so grateful.  Much love, Steve, Debbie, Zach, & Micah

Zach Smith Update - as of Wednesday 11/19/2008

Here is an update from Zach’s mother, Debbie:

Zach is still in the intensive care unit, however, he was taken of off the ventilator again yesterday and his lungs seem to be working much better.  Zach is alert and communicating.  We hope to get moved to the rehabilitation unit later today or early tomorrow to begin the next phase of our long journey.  Zach knows he has a lot of hard work ahead of him but that with God’s love and the support and love of family and friends he will be strong.  We have been so touched by the outpouring of love and support, words can not express our gratitude to everyone.  We are truly blessed.
