Our Falcons were the visitors at JFK stadium again this week, this time facing the Parkview Vikings.  Despite being selected as a 5 point underdog this week, our Falcons put on a great show, blowing out the Vikings in a 52-28 victory!  This leaves the Falcons at 2-1 in district play, and right in the thick of the hunt for one of the top two spots in the district, which means moving on to the state playoffs.

The Falcons offense, seemingly dormant after last week against Ozark, got on the fast track quickly.  The Vikings fumbled deep in their own territory on their first possession, and the Falcons took advantage, scoring a quick touchdown.  The Vikings would then come back with a matching touchdown, but a missed PAT left our Falcons with a 7-6 lead.  The Falcons run attack quickly took control of the game, and by the end of the first quarter, we were winning 21-9.  By half time, we were up 42-15.  Then by the end of the game, after the JV team saw a lot of second half action, we won by the 24 point margin, 52-28.

Next week, we have a week off from district play, and we will be hosting the Kansas City East football team (who lost tonight to Kickapoo 50-6), for Homecoming & Senior Night.  Come out and cheer on our Falcons to another victory – GO FALCONS!!!
