Falcons Dominate Tigers - for 3 Quarters

Our Falcons came up short in a hard-fought game against the visiting Waynesville Tigers, losing 23-39.  Despite some “extremely questionable” calls that went against our Falcons, keeping defending Class 5 state champion Waynesville in the game, we led 13-12 at the half.  By the end of the 3rd quarter, we had extended that lead to 23-12.  But four unanswered Tiger touchdowns in the 4th quarter would snatch away our Falcons’ first victory of the season.

This coming Friday, the real part of the season begins with our first district game at JFK, where we will take on our arch rival, the Kickapoo Chiefs, who stand at 3-2 (coming off a 1 point homecoming victory over Lebanon last Thursday).  Come out and cheer on our Falcons to their first win of the season, and the first district win, as we march toward a 3rd consecutive appearance in the state playoffs - GO FALCONS!!!

Painting Help Needed for the HPER Facility

Tim Pedigo is organizing work time to get some painting done in the HPER facility.  Please see the announcement below, and come help with this project:

The paint has arrived for the HPER and it is now time to paint.  Tim needs our help to complete this by Sunday September 28th.  We will paint from 5:00pm to 10:00pm Thursday as well as Saturday and Sunday starting at 10:00am until we complete the work.  Can you please consider volunteering your expert painting time?  Please respond to Bill Rabourn or Tim Pedigo to tell them when you can work so that Tim has plenty of materials for each volunteer.  Also please pass this message on to others so we can get additional volunteers.

Announcement from Glendale Athletic Director

Mr. Jon Ewing, Glendale’s Atheletic Director, has asked to have the following announcement published on our Website:

All spectators need to remain in the stands or bleachers. Only players, coaches, officials and band members can be on the field. The west side of the stands will be the student section, the center section for parents and the east section for visitors. The bleachers in the west end zone are for the Glendale Band and the bleachers in the east end zone will be for any overflow once the stands are filled. Please note that Glendale students are allowed to stand in their section. Thanks for your patience and understanding as improvements are made to our facilities, and thanks for your support and encouragement of the Glendale Falcons.
