Glendale Goes 1-2 Against Waynesville

It seems like a broken record these last 3 weeks, but our Falcons have once again gone 1 win versus 2 losses against the opposing school.

The varsity traveled to Waynesville last Friday night, and lost 12-27 to the Tigers.

Last night (Monday), the Freshman team also traveled to Waynesville, and lost 20-26, in a down-to-the-wire nailbiter.  After trading touchdowns in the first half, and leading 13-12 at the half, our Falcons got behind 13-26 by early in the 4th quarter.  Another touchdown with under 4 minutes to play got the score to 20-26.  The defense came up with a big stop, on a 4th down, when Waynesville was trying to run out the clock.  The offense took over on downs with less than a minute and a half to play, and managed to get inside the Tigers’ 40 yard line, but there was just not enough time.

Also last night, the JV Falcons brought Glendale its one victory against Waynesville, as they won 32-20, on the home turf.  In the first quarter, Celab Bolda ran for a 60-yard touchdown, then he later passed to Zach Snodgrass for another touchdown.  In the 2nd quarter, quarterback Skylar Ladd hit Jacob Gray for a touchdown.  Celab ran for another TD in the 3rd quarter, and Skylar added a touchdown on a short run in the 4th quarter, for the final 32-20 victory!

Now, let’s go for the sweep against Rolla – especially since it’s Homecoming weekend - GO FALCONS!!
