JV & Freshman Falcons Lift Glendale to 2nd Sweep of the Season
Well, it was the second week of the season when Glendale was supposed to face the Hillcrest Hornets teams. Our varsity Falcons got their first win of the season over Hillcrest, 34-14. Then the Freshman and JV games ended up getting postponed due to weather. This past Saturday was the make-up date for both games.
The Freshman started out the day by beating the Hornets 20-14. Kudos to Coach Gardener and his staff, and the Freshman Falcons as they finished the season strong with 5 wins in-a-row. They finish the season with a 5-3 record!
Then, our JV team took the field, and rolled to an impressive 52-22 win over Hillcrest. Great job Coach Codutti and the JV coaching staff, and the JV Falcons, as they end the season on a 2 game win streak, to finish with a 4-4 record!
So, Glendale gets the sweep of an opposing school for the second time this year. Next up, our varsity Falcons need to make it a city sweep by beating Kickapoo Friday night, for the District 5 title – GO FALCONS!!!
