Falcons Unable to Hold Off Eagles
Our Glendale Falcons traveled to Joplin in hopes of shooting down the Eagles’ high-flying offense. Our Falcons accomplished part of that goal, holding the Eagles to 21 points – well below their average of 44 points-per-game. Unfortunately, we still lost 14-21.
The Eagles took the opening kickoff and drove downfield 80 yards for an opening drive touchdown. After that, the Falcons’ defense got really tough, while the offense scored 2 first-half touchdowns, enabling us to take a 14-7 lead into the locker room at half.
After a half-time extended by 30 minutes due to lightning, our Falcons took the opening kickoff and appeared to pick up where they had left off in the first half. We marched downfield to the Eagles’ 35-yard line, where a Falcons’ fumble was recovered by Joplin. After that, the offense never seemed to recover in the 2nd half. Joplin would later tie the game in the 3rd quarter, then score the winning touchdown in the 4th quarter.
After 3 of our first 4 games have been on the road, our Falcons are finally back home again Friday the 29th to host the 3-1 Waynesville Tigers. We need everyone to show up and cheer our Falcons on to a much-needed win over the Tigers – GO FALCONS!!!

Great idea posting the directions to opposing teams’ football fields!
